I have been playing sports for as long as I can remember. It has always been a major part of my life. In Highschool I played on almost every sports team you could name. Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, and Football. This love for sport and movement, blossomed into a love for strength training in University as I discovered the unique personal challenges and constant opportunity for growth strength training provided. Strength training is the only method of training where you can truly sculpt how you look, feel, and perform. Whether it’s a sport, competition, or a desire to move well and play with your kids, strength training is the only method that can be tailored to your unique needs. It is those meaningful changes that strength training and exercise provides people that drew me into personal training and Kinesiology.
I attended the University of Ottawa where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics where I later went on to become a registered Kinesiologist through Ontario’s College of Kinesiologists. While attending the University of Ottawa I was able to obtain in depth knowledge about various principles of training, exercise physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition. It seems every month the health and fitness space come out with new research and techniques that supplements what I was taught at university. My desire to provide my clients with the most effective training methods ensures I am in a constant state of learning and personal development.
My love for training has always been focused towards strength. Whether a heavy squat, overhead press, bench, or even sometimes a deadlift, my joy for fitness is always centred around lifting heavy objects effectively, efficiently, and without pain.
My past experience with aches and pains while lifting with the addition of some asymmetry has provided me with a tool box and a continuing desire to learn more techniques that I can apply and pass on to my clients. I have experience training clients of all types and ages with various injuries or impairments such as arthritic clients, clients with hip or knee replacements, and those who suffered from motor vehicle accidents. I recognize every client as unique and deserving of a training experience tailored to their needs and goals.
My passion for health and fitness began as a young athlete. As an adult I saw the impact that regular exercise, healthy eating, and proper sleep patterns had on my performance (and overall health) and now I have a desire to help others experience the same benefits!
As a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, and lifestyle coach, I take a holistic approach to wellness. I believe in creating personalized plans that cater to each client's unique needs and goals, whether it's weight loss, muscle building, or simply living a healthier lifestyle.
My coaching style is encouraging, supportive, and educational. I empower my clients to take ownership of their health and guide them towards achieving sustainable results.
I love lifting heavy things, making tasty and healthy meals, spending time with friends and family, and immersing myself in nature!

The seeds were planted for my passion for fitness and health as a child when my parents enrolled me in the martial art of Taekwon-Do. With over 27 years under my belt, which included winning multiple national championships and medals at North American, Pan-American, and World Championships, my passion for martial arts is ongoing and has expanded to include Capoeira, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Karate. From this passion grew my desire to pursue a career in movement and fitness.
In 2010, I enrolled myself at Algonquin College in pursuit of certifying myself as a personal trainer. I wanted to take my experiences and translate them into a fitness and wellness approach. Since then, I have discovered a passion for strength training, movement, and rehabilitation. Helping people move well, stay strong, and live pain-free is my focus. Taking up kettlebell sport and focusing on furthering my rehab training knowledge has really added to my adaptability and versatility as a PT.
I am currently a Certified Personal Trainer with Sport Performance Institute and hold certifications such as Pain to Performance with Kinetic Performance, Strength and Speed Specialist with Agatsu Inc, Kettlebell Level 1 Instructor with Agatsu Inc, DTS Level 1 with Darby Training Systems, and Mobility Fundamentals for Prehab and Performance with Rehab U. I am constantly working to enhance my knowledge so that I can continue to enhance the lives of the people I train.
